History of the Audi logo
The four rings stand for the four companies that joined to form Auto Union in 1932: Audi, DKW, Horch and Wanderer. The name Audi came back for the cars in the 1960s, and in 2016 the rings went flat, dropping their chrome for a plain black outline that works on screens.
